Last week, 4 Alabamians (including myself) loaded up a truck and trailer full of 7 bikes and enough gear to make your head spin. Our first stop was Breckenridge, CO. Over the past 3 days, we've ridden a handful of Breckenridge and Keystone Trails. For me, it doesn't get much better than Summit County. The views are absolutely incredible, and the riding is even better. Here's a few pics from the past few days.

Keep the pics coming - I was just in CO for two weeks - Epic riding out there, have fun. If you get the chance, stop at Vail and ride. That was probably my favorite place of all. You can pedal up if you wanna suffer or take the gondola. If you go ride magic forest, mane lane, and PMT. Where else are you going?

Yea, I definitely wished we had a camera then.

Anyway, we spent our last day in Summit County riding Keystone for one last day. Here's a pretty sweet picture of Walker (?????) ripping down the corkscrew towards the bottom of East Forest.

We then left for Crested Butte and encountered some awesome stars along the way. It was so clear and void of light that you can even see the Milky Way here.

In Crested Butte, we rode the famous 401 Trail. We all agreed that it was probably the most scenic trail we had ever ridden. It started with a brutal climb up the fireroad, and then winded back through valley by way of some of the tightest singletrack I had ever ridden.

We actually just got back to Alabama this weekend. We only spent two days in Utah. The first day was spent relaxing and sightseeing in Canyonlands National Park. This was a much needed break after 5 straight days of hard riding. Here's a picture of Walker (?????) and I jumping around on Mesa Arch there.

Our last day of the trip (before a 30 hour drive home) was spent riding the Whole Enchilada in Moab. We started our ride in the La Sals at close to 11,000 feet in the cool morning air. As the day progressed, it got hotter and hotter. We ended up at the Colorado River sore, beaten, and dehydrated some 33 miles later. We had descended close to 7,000 feet and consumed around 5 liters of water/gatorade each. Needless to say, I didn't have enough room in the hydration pack for the big ole camera with me on that ride. I sure wish I had pics of that epic ride though.

That's a burly ride. I haven't done the whole thing yet, but i'm sure it was hot as eff this time of year.
