I was in NY yesterday, and Columbus Day is a big deal there...much bigger than it is on the west coast, apparently.

I wonder if in 500 years the annual Hitler Day celebration in Munich is going to be more important than it is in Berlin...

I was riding with a buddy on sunday. I asked him if he had monday off because it was columbus day. He told me where he grew up (berkeley), they got "indiginous peoples awareness day"
