crashing at a trail near you...
can anyone hook a :monkey: up with local trail knowledge?
i'll be coming out with a friend who is traveling there on business, and after she's done, she wants to ride.
i considered brining my bike but we'll have to rent one for her so i figure we might as well rent two.
so, having said that need help finding a place that rents decent bikes.
would like to have full sussers for both of us.
any help is greatly appreciated! :thumb:

It depends on what part of town you will be in. If downtown is the destination, you will probably do best with rides up in the Golden (NW metro) area.

Golden area trails to consider:
Apex: A fun, trail to ride but very busy in the afternoons and weekends.
White Ranch: Start at the lower lot and you will have a tough 30 ish minute climb on your hands. Ride mustang to make it a loop.
Chimney Gulch: Also a tough climb rocky trail.

My all time favorite is in SW metro area.
Deer Creek Canyon is the name of the trail and it is near Chatfield state park.
2.4 mile climb up a fairly rocky loose in places double track trail. Two loops on the top. If you want good smiles try it out.

Feel free to PM me if you need more ideas.

yea it depends on what part of town your coming too. um, my favorite trails close to denver are all in jefferson county.
lair o' the bear *bear creek* is my all time favorite,
followed by dear creek canyon.
then apex park
then elk medows (in evergreen)
rouxbourgh state park is sweet too. i got a lo i could recomend.
as far as renting goes.... im really not sure, ive never had to rent. id try just callin some shops from the phone book (which im sure you could find online). i kno some stores do "demo" rides, like bike source on county line and university. and thats essentialy renting i suppose.
message me if you want directions to any trails
