Hi, so I'm eating crow tonight. Went to put my new fancy pants ti spring on, and it's like 3mm too short to properly make contact with the preload collar. Yes, the preload collar is wound as far down as possible, in case you were wondering.

It looks like these guys (J&L) make a POM spring spacer thing, but that's likely to take another month to arrive. Short of that (or sending the spring back), has anyone got any other ideas. Could I use some kind of washer?

Free length is about 143mm by the looks of it. Old spring is 146mm. I guess it always just fit, but I never noticed.

Thanks all.

Piece of cut PU-pipe?
I was thinking along those lines, just wasn't sure what material is going to get crush under the forces. I'll have a look at PU... Is Delrin a workable option if I can't get something that would fit?

Edit, did you mean PVC pipe? As far as I know, PU would be too soft.
