So today at a race a guy was giving out flyers for the Park City Endurance 100. I looked at it and theres four categorys, full 100 mile solo, 100km solo, 50m solo, and team (2-5 guys) relay. I'm a Junior, and I thought that doing the 50m solo would kick ass since I tend to do really well in endurance stuff, but they're not letting 18 and under race solo. What gives? Is it just a liability thing? I mean I could go find a team but thats a pain and I most likely wouldn't get to do as much. It would also mean a lot to me to do it on my own. Is this common?

I did a 50 mile race as a junior. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
