Been looking a round a little. Doesn't need to be great, but a least halfway decent. The speaker on my laptop suck, I was using a set of Bose MediaMate's but my mom took them back when I moved out.

I might buy them if I can't find anything similar in sound quility for 50 bucks.

Looking to spend up to 50 bucks.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, I recommend that set to just about everyone - the X-230 hits a really awesome price point for the sound quality. Get 'em. They're gems.

^^What they said. I have a pair and they're great, got 'em from Newegg for something like $30 almost 3 years ago.

The other thing I like about that set is the subwoofer is compact, doesn't feel like you've just put a microwave under your desk.

I may buy a set actually, never really liked my speakers much and they're so cheap :p

Anyway, they are fvcking amazing. The sub sounds really nice.

Speakers have great range, exceptional for 50 bucks.
