This has been posted many times.

It rides with absolutely no flex in the rear end. Only one chain engages at a time because of it being impossible to coordinate the pawls between the two freewheels. This also creates a very instantanious engagement. (feels like a king hub even though it's just a couple freewheels). With chains on both sides, the frame is not allowed to flex to either side.

Other than that, it doesn't do anything but look a little different. Eric always liked to try something different. For more information on it, check out the original on Eric's shop's website...

It can be either fixed-gear or freewheel, depending on what side you choose to pedal on...

Seriously, it's amazing how stuff evolves...SS develops as a reaction to all the gee-whiz tech side of mountain biking, and then grows into its own niche, which then tries to evolve into more complicated stuff, which is sort of missing the point of singlespeeding, no?
