beacon hill is off argonne exit in spokane,
exit so your goin north, drive a mile or so to upriver drive and take a left on to upriverdrive so your heading west, drive a couple miles, look for a swimming area on the left with a paved parking lot, park here or across road in gravel lot,
go up (from the gravel lot on the north side of upriver drive) into the woods and get on a double track heading slightly left which will put you at the bottom of the dh runs and such, hike up the road and scope stuff out!! ask locals you see for the good stuff and explore there is so much stuff up there!!
also the beacon towers has some trails comin off it too

check www.roundandround.com they have directions to get there too
otherwise lookup the local shops

The gravel lot on the N side of the road is closed for parking now for some stupid reason but we are working on that.
The golf course is parking lot for the esmerelda trail is on Courtland, one block east of Freya, (need to add that to the above page, sorry)

Rossland:
The ski hill will open July 1st, Canada Day eh. So far there are only two trails roughed in with a third in construction. The resort has hired Joe Schwartz as a trail consultant so I think there will be some good trails but these things take time to build.

There is an EXTENSIVE network of trails surrounding town ranging from six hour epics above treeline to full on stunted steep technical shuttles to 6000' descents. There is a shuttle service http://www.summitrides.com/ and an excellent bike shop http://www.revolutioncycles.ca/ in town with maps.

IMBA Canada is considering The Seven Summits trail as an epic and there will be a poker ride on this trail on July 31. I'll make a post about the poker ride when there is more info, expect a party on wheels.

It's a fun town, check it out.
