If your PCP advises you to not get the COVID vaccination because you've had hives with a few antibiotics, I'd suggest you find a new PCP lest you live to regret that decision. Or not live, as it may be.

(yes, this is related to a CT I read tonight.)

Was at the local country store yesterday getting a heated dog bed, a shovel and a hose I stopped by the animal medicine and poison isle. Yep all the apple flavored ivermectin was gone except a solitary one. Other brands, flavors and styles abound though.

Wait.

Is the "flavor" supposed to matter? Serious question, because who can keep up with this bullshit?

I’m not sure but that’s what was in the photos and news I saw. Saw people saying it was a paste. As I said may different packages. Toothpaste sized ones were gone. But I’m not a vet, I’m a guy on the internet so what do I know? Everything if I was anti vax I guess.

Vermont State Police issues statement on resignation of three troopers

WATERBURY, Vt. (Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021) — Three state troopers have resigned following allegations related to fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards.

Shawn Sommers and Raymond Witkowski submitted their resignations on Aug. 10, 2021, one day after another Vermont State Police trooper raised concerns with supervisors about their conduct. David Pfindel resigned effective Sept. 3 following additional investigation by the Department of Public Safety.

The three former troopers are suspected of having varying roles in the creation of fraudulent COVID-19 vaccination cards, which may be a violation of federal law. The details surrounding this incident, reported to supervisors by other troopers, were immediately reported to federal law enforcement authorities.

“The accusations in this case involve an extraordinary level of misconduct — a criminal violation of the law — and I could not be more upset and disappointed,” said Col. Matthew T. Birmingham, director of the Vermont State Police. “If these allegations are proved to be true, it is reprehensible that state troopers would manipulate vaccination cards in the midst of a pandemic, when being vaccinated is one of the most important steps anyone can take to keep their community safe from COVID-19.”

“I’m embarrassed that this situation has occurred and know that it has tarnished the reputation of the Vermont State Police,” Col. Birmingham continued. “That said, the alleged criminal conduct from these troopers does not represent the values and actions of the dedicated men and women of the Vermont State Police.”

Added Vermont Public Safety Commissioner Michael Schirling: “Based on an initial internal review, we do not believe there is anything more the state police could have done to prevent this from occurring. As soon as other troopers became aware of this situation, they raised the allegations internally, and commanders took swift and decisive action to hold these individuals accountable and report this matter to federal authorities.”

The state police referred the matter to the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Burlington. An investigation by the FBI is underway, and as a result the state police was unable to release information about the incident prior to today’s statement.

Sommers and Witkowski both joined the Vermont State Police in July 2016 and were assigned to field stations following their graduation from the Vermont Police Academy in January 2017. Sommers worked at the Rutland Barracks until October 2017, when he transferred to Shaftsbury; he transferred back to Rutland in December 2020. Witkowski spent his state police career at the Shaftsbury Barracks. Pfindel was hired in January 2014 and assigned to the St. Albans Barracks. He transferred to Shaftsbury in February 2016, became a detective trooper with the Bureau of Criminal Investigations in July 2016, and returned to work as a road trooper in April 2020.

Due to the ongoing FBI investigation, the Vermont State Police is unable to comment further at this time.

Well, shit. hope you stay unsick.
Umm, How did you get vaccinated so early? Are you deworming?
When the local pharmacy was closing for the day, if they had any vaccine that was going to be tossed out they would call the hospital and ask if anyone had volunteered for the list. I was on that list and got a call one night to show up at the pharmacy in 20 minutes. BAM they dosed me and off I went.

@Westy
Kiddos had a nasty cold 2 weeks ago. The big one tested negative for the covid but they had all the symptoms. Wife is so far not exhibiting any symptoms. I have all the symptoms but their mostly mild. Was wearing a n95 this AM before I had the results back and wasn't in a situation where I could safely remove it. The runny nose was pooling up at the bottom of my mask against my chin.

I was getting lax about masking up 24/7. My town is full of horse dewormer eating anti vaxx knuckleheads. They love to feel stupid.

The only way you could have gotten it before Dec 2020 is if you were part of the clinical trials.

Time flies when I am having fun. "About a year ago" is me saying about a year + or - several months. Now that you have exclaimed this. I am reflecting on it and it was during the winter sometime. Let me see if I can get an exact date.

...

LOL ok so maybe I said about a year but I actually meant March of 2021. Man. So much life has happened in between March and now.

More than half of the kids in my daughter's 8th grade class are out on quarantine as if today. Two other classes in the school are out as well according to the wife. Still no masks per administration according to my wife. :banghead:

Hope you get better soon and the family stays healthy.

So, in our school district as of last Friday, 5,208 kids are quarantined, as are 202 staff members. Last night the school board voted to not make masks mandatory (was not unanimous - 5/4). I believe that they are the only school district in the immediate area to do this. I don't claim to be an expert on any of this stuff, but it seems like some basic preventative measures might not be the worst idea when only around 50% of the county is fully vaccinated.

@boostindoubles sorry to hear that you are sick with this.

Thanks all - not having much fun but mostly concerned about getting my wife and kids sick. Sitting at home for 5 days is gonna be hard also. I am hoping that the symptoms start waning instead of increasing. Woke up with a headache and dry mouth. Had the chills and sweats all night. Good shit. Had my friend bring me a tube of apple flavored horse dewormer. BOOM screw you covid.

Why take simple preventative measures when dealing with the consequences is much worse? It is almost like you haven't been on the receiving end of a Russian misinformation campaign.

The body aches are real.

Our 1st grader went to school last week. Was mandatory masks. Kiddo gets home and says she didn't have to wear a mask because the teacher gave everyone face shields. What the hell.
