It has hard to choose, 'informative' or 'useful'. Just know, I thought it was both.I think if you’v got snot you don’t have Covid-19. I’m also not a Dr. and have not stayed at a Holiday Inn recently.
Well - it could be COVID-19 *AND* some other virus that gives the snot...Thats what I thought. Prolly some other nasty virus that's not as big a deal.
wow. saw the first vid ive seen of their hospital situation over there today. holy shit. its so much like the movies.Italy is hovering around an 8% mortality rate as of today vs total cases. Damn.
Im cootie proof cuz those chicas.Well - it could be COVID-19 *AND* some other virus that gives the snot...
Much of that is explained by age distribution and saturation of ICU resources, afaik.Italy is hovering around an 8% mortality rate as of today vs total cases. Damn.
There was a piece in La Republica today about how Italian scientists believe that 50 - 75% of cases remain asymptomatic. And even if it’s not quite as many, it’s reasonable to assume a large number of infections remain unreported.Italy is hovering around an 8% mortality rate as of today vs total cases. Damn.
Yea. I keep forgetting that. Thx for a perspective check. There was a piece in La Republica today about how Italian scientists believe that 50 - 75% of cases remain asymptomatic. And even if it’s not quite as many, it’s reasonable to assume a large number of infections remain unreported.
“People may experience:I think if you’v got snot you don’t have Covid-19. I’m also not a Dr. and have not stayed at a Holiday Inn recently.
That Italian figure is much higher than what I’ve seen reported in the past, so it did look a lot worse before. And unfortunately Toshi‘s point remains true: people are dying because there’s not enough equipment and personnel.Yea. I keep forgetting that. Thx for a perspective check.
I've heard that snot viruses are often also of the corona variety, and act as the best prevention because body is already infected without room for moar covid-19.Well - it could be COVID-19 *AND* some other virus that gives the snot...
Yeah, I saw that. I had already decided to see no movies basically through the summer, assuming this winds down by June or so, so I'd emailed AMC to cancel my A-List membership.
Still running late and requiring a transfer onto another line to avoid roadwork.I've heard that snot viruses are often also of the corona variety, and act as the best prevention because body is already infected without room for moar covid-19.

Sorry, asking for a friend...
trump could not get away with it....Still running late and requiring a transfer onto another line to avoid roadwork.
Not so sure about it. Correct me if I am wrong: the law is going pretty far and suspending some basic rights without a distinct end date. Under normal circumstances this would be a clear case for contesting it in court. At the press conference of the prime minister today she dodged the questions of the journalists about it and only said that she has the same concerns and has to weigh the different goods.
Compared to what is happening in the rest of the country, not a big deal?Holy shit, just heard they closed Moab. No camping on public lands.
Imma need a linkHoly shit, just heard they closed Moab. No camping on public lands.
waiting for national parks to be shut down/delay opening....Compared to what is happening in the rest of the country, not a big deal?
It’s a big deal here. Everyone that got their spring break plans shut down were headed down there.Compared to what is happening in the rest of the country, not a big deal?
This is ultimately why we will see a full shutdown, IMO - people are told they should stay home, but people simply convince themselves that it's "OK" to continue with their plans. It’s a big deal here. Everyone that got their spring break plans shut down were headed down there.
Monocle 1st world problems of the worst kind. It’s a big deal here. Everyone that got their spring break plans shut down were headed down there.
Well.... shit escalated quickly. The whole country is under full lockout. The army is blocking most major streets and you cant move unless you carry a valid permit.Actually, knowing Lima, I doubt it. Alexis?

I´ve been told there are less than 250 UCI bed with respirator/ventilators in the entire country.
No wonder the government enacted full lockdown so quickly.
Doesn’t change the fact it is happening.Monocle 1st world problems of the worst kind.
Supermarkets, gas stations, health and telcom/news and trucking companies directly related to those can operate.Cripey.
