FRX V2 – The Evolution of an Aussie Trail Weapon

Designed, engineered and owned in Adelaide, South Australia.

Being around for over 15 years we have seen many Australian mountain bike companies come and go – We are happy to say Craftworks Cycles is still Aussie and is going stronger than ever thanks to a simple but important ideal; Evolution of intelligent designs around proven technology.

The Craftworks FRX, like all our bikes have always been based on this. Here at Craftworks, there are no vague suspension patents, innovation confused with differentiation, and no media hyperbole. Just a bike that thrives and handles at its best when being pushed to the limits.

Don’t let the simple lines and lack of multiple pivots of the FRX fool you. This bike is about advanced design and CNC construction. Every curve and shape of the frame creates a highly tuned chassis giving exceptional handling characteristics. Optimal placement of the oversized main pivot creates the perfect amount of anti squat and neutralises braking feedback. The low 2.2:1 leverage ratio and tuned shock placement matches the spring curve of the air shock giving performance to rival any linkage system.

Everyone has heard the phrase “less is more” well this is certainly the case. Less maintenance, weight, complexity, mud catching cavities, wear and more performance and durability.

New FRX Key Features

- 1 1/8 to 1.5 Tapered Headtube - Front end stiffness, bigger fork but low, aggressive stack height
- 2.2:1 Leverage ratio - improved dampening in middle to end stroke
- Maxle 135mm rear axle - improved stiffness, and lighter swingarm for better small bump compliance
- New Hollow Core CNC construction - tuned compliance and resisting flex when you nail the gas.
- Large Water bottle clearance
- Internal Cable Routing through swingarm - protects cables
- Lighter than previous FRX with more travel and through axle front and rear

Riding on the success of the previous FRX and S1, the FRX V2 reinforces that Craftworks is the leading Australian-owned and designed mountain bike company. For full details please visit http://www.craftworkscycles.com/index.php.
