So I installed a set of Race Face Cadence cranks in place of my old Ultegra (non external) and it started creaking. I have changed, tightened and greased other things, so it pretty much has to be the BB. I have tried grease, lots of grease, reinstallation after cleaning, teflon tape and loctite- none seems to work much better than another. I am almost positive the frame was faced and chased before I got it, but that was several years ago. Is the next step taking it for facing to see if that fixes it? Any other ideas?

Make sure it has been properly chased and faced. Also make sure you're applying grease to all surfaces that are interfacing (i.e. spindle, anything with threads). I also like applying grease to both the inner and outer surfaces of the BB cup/shell threads. If that doesn't seem to fix it, may be time to let a mechanic check it out in person. Creaks are always hard to diagnose without actually having the part in front of you.
From what I'm hearing it sounds like the creaking is coming from the fit between the spindle and bottom bracket. Keeping the spindle clean and lightly greased has seemed to fix the problem for me.

I've seen creaks come from strange places. Even from broken frames. If nothing helps it, get a new BB. Not super pricey and worth it if you can justify it.
Hmmm...looks like chasing and facing are in order. Everything was greased in varying amounts before installation and one or two subsequent installations (I always grease the spindle, cap threads, etc.) It was all new cranks/bb and started almost immediately after installation, so it's not an issue of wear or a broken frame.
