3-time Ironman World Champion Craig Alexander grabbed the win at the 2012 EnduraFit Ironman 70.3 EagleMan in 3:44:57, Greg Bennett finished second and TJ Tollakson third.

Swim ace David Kahn led the men out of the water, but Crowie and a few other favorites were in striking distance.

Crowie then had an awesome day on his Specialized Shiv and recorded a superb 2:03:57 bike split for the 56-mile bike segment through the beautiful Maryland countryside. That allowed the fast Aussie to start the run only a few seconds behind defending champion Tollakson.

Crowie's 1:15:07 run was best on the day and gave him the 70.3 EagleMan title in 3:44:57 - and added another number to the Specialized win counter. This also means that Crowie's name will be added to the new TriColumbia EagleMan monument.

"I got what I came here for, but it was very hard," said Crowie. "I am very happy."
