flat blade screwdriver. hammer. be careful. light taps.

a chisel that you don't care about using on wood is also an option.

I agree with a thin chisel, or better yet a knife you aren't afraid to ruin, leaves smaller marks.

Tap a blade in there first, be sure to alternate sides, don't just work it from one spot.
When the gap is too big switch to a flat head screwdriver.

and if you need to put one back on a 1" shop vac hose extension and a rubber mallet works great!
