I'm looking for a 24" rigid for a buddy of mine. I know absolutely nothing about these bikes. Can somebody give me a little info on them, as far as how cheep i can get a descent one used, and what it might cost me. Also who makes the goods.
Thanks.

I have a Mosh frame and some parts I will give you a good deal on. Everything except cranks and headset for $150
The thing about cruisers is that they all seem to have really long chainstays. For shorter stays, you have to go mtb 24". I am planning on putting another 24 together, but not sure yet what frame to go with. If I had stupid amounts of money, it would be a Tonic Fall Guy. USB Molly would be my second choice.

Had a couple of 24 cruisers in the past and never had issues with manuals and with the chainstay length. Like most things, you just learn to ride the bike they way it is. It comes naturally... Personally, I'm a fan of the new We The People 24. Sub $500 too. Check Dans Comp, they have them in stock

yo if your bud is just startin out he'd probably be pretty well off on a cheap complete....heres some I found on dans comp...you could always upgrade parts as they break, but at least you wont sink a bunch of money into something that may never pan out....I dont know a ton about these...but here you go..
DK CYGNUS 24"

EASTERN Trail Digger Cruiser

Both of these are chromo frames and the DK is only $299...theres some holiday deals on dans too with like free shipping or 15% off and ish...

i like the way the eastern looks. it has the shortest chainstays of any major brand cruisers ive seen. 14.75cs and nice low seatube height. Too bad there wasnt a beefed up version that was 100% cromo with some spicier parts. but still nice for sub 500

one of those fits just went on ebay for like $360 slightly used. wish I'd had money at the time.
The Fit and the Mirra cruisers both have 21.5" TTs. The DK is kinda short at 21"
