I'm building a wheel and want something that will stand out. Is there anywhere I can get something other than silver or black?
Custom Color Spokes?

Well, you can go two routes. There was a post about this in the DH forum a while ago.
The BMX route (my preffered way): Spray paint spokes. (For added ghetto points dont bother taking apart the wheel, just use duct tape to mask the nipples)
The Classy Route: Strip the spokes and get them powdercoated. Ive never seen any one with this done, but it has been e-specualted to death. So if you were to actually do it, kuddos.

Powder coat is easy and relatively cheap, but be careful the tolerance of the spoke/hole is enough that you can have some room to spare. Oh, and I shouldn't have to say it, but mask the threads too.
DT Swiss makes colored ano spokes.
