I think you fellow single speeders would have an appreciation for this kind of thing.

I was not digging the wheel base on my Astrix so I cut out a set of new drops. Their a bit thicker and 15 mm longer then the stock drop outs. Just finished them this afternoon and after a little ride around town I must say I'm very happy with the how the bike feels now!

looks clean. good work man. gotta watch that lower bolt hole for cracks though, you're gonna be putting more torque on it like that.

update: I've been doing my best to abuse the new drops and they have been preforming prefect. rode some street park, XC, free ride (with drops up to 8ft) No issues so far - looks like I'm in the clear

awesome - could you replicate some On-One chain tugs out of similarly strong material???

After having a quick look on their web side, I don't think I have the gear to do that. Currently I'm limited to what I can do with a jig saw and a hand file and that pretty much means flat parts like the drops above.

The On-One ones had a lip on them that would be a pain in the ass to make with out a mill or at least a band saw.

I really need to get more tools..
