I have an 04 demo 9 pro and wanted to get it repainted with a different color, but i also want the bike to still have all the logos and stuff on it. Anyone know the price range and/or the site where i can do this. If any of you have had your frame painted tell me the details of how you did it and and how much you paid, it would really help me out.

Spectrum Powder Works does a great job. Price will be a custom quote. You'll probably need to get a decal set from Specialized. They can certainly make stencils or airbrush the logos you want, but that will increase the price a lot.

I did an 04 demo 9 in all black.

Its alot of work because media blasting will mean youll need to remove all the bearings in the rear end. Doing that is hard because of the design of a few bearings(maybe 4 or 8 if I remember right) sit on alloy shoulders in the sleeve you press them into. Thats not hard when you put them in, but removing them.... lets just say it was more than a couple beer job. I ended up cutting the inner races out with a cut off tool and then notching and pulling out the outer races(because there is no way to push them out from the other side). It might sound confusing, but when you get in there and work on it youll find out what Im talking about.

dh girlie got her V-10 done by Spectrum. It was light blue with flames. It looked awesome though it wasn't cheap.

Race Metalsmiths & Powdercoating do some sweet work. They are in White River Junction VT. Call and talk to Scott for a quote. I wouldn't send my bike anywhere else.

my buddy just had his big-hit painted at a local garage in warrensburg, he stripped the frame of the old paint himself, but they did the rest, even filled some of the dents. they already had the paint from a truck they just finished, cost was $160 and it came out nice. new paint and you could buy the decals from specialized, im sure they have something.
