How can I get my company's logo onto the web browser's tabs?

When you open my website up, it has the IE logo beside the name, whereas other websites may have their logo next to their name...

Cheers for the starter $tinkle, but all the sites I found on the subject are full of computer jargon. I have made a quick favicon (now at least I know what it's called!) and it's ready to go, but I still don't know how to install it.

in all the jargon you find, you should find how to add the reference to your web source & the file to your directory tree.

You need to get a plugin for photoshop I'm pretty sure, to save it as a .ico .
