I just bought Dungeon Siege 2 and it installed fine. Go to play it and says that I have a d3d initialization error. I updated all my XP drivers and downloaded this ATI catalyst thing that I think is the newest drivers for my 9700 pro. STill get the error message. Any ideas?

Run dxdiag to make sure you have the newest version of Direct x (Start->Run->dxdiag). If you have the latest version of Direct x and other games play fine I would guess that it is a game issue. Try seeing if there is a support forum for the game.
