Jesus H fvcking christ almighty in a goddamned canoe. THROW THE FVCKING BALL ALREADY! JAMES IS A HAS-BEEN AND CAN'T GODDAMNED RUN AGAINST THEM! SO YOU KEEP GOING AT THEM.

Arizona DESERVES to lose this one. You can't win by running 3 times and then punting the ball.

You must be kidding.

Arizona blew it. Not because of Leinart, not because of James, but because of awful offensive playcalling for the Arizona offense, and good defense by the Bears.

I'll never understand why you keep going to james, losing yardage just because you can "run down some clock" when the Bears have 3 timeouts, and you've got Leinart throwing the short routes very well thus far.

Never ever under-estimate the Cardinals ability to throw away perfectly winable games, even with a two touchdown lead.

From the arizona republic:

Bears quarterback Rex Grossman, who had four passes intercepted and fumbled twice, couldn't believe he was in the winning locker room. "I've never played so bad and won a game like that," he said

For the Cardinals, holding a lead has proven to be as difficult as holding a crying baby, and it has coach Dennis Green at his wits' end. He was answering questions calmly in his postgame news conference until he was asked about the 6-0 Bears.

Green slammed a fist on the podium. "You want to crown them, go ahead and crown their asses," he said, his voice rising. "But they are exactly who we thought they are, and we let them off the hook."

It was the second consecutive week in which the Cardinals blew a comfortable lead, although there probably is no such thing for this team. Last week, the Cardinals led Kansas City 14-0 but lost 23-20. Rackers missed a 51-yard attempt late in that game that would have forced overtime.

Da Bears!

Is there ANY doubt that Urlacher is the best player in the NFL? Singlehandedly took over the game in the 4th. Amazing. 19 tackles and a KEY forced fumble.

Team of Destiny.
SuperBears, Superbowl. That's all I have to say. Best game ever.

Dude, they almost got beaten by Arizona, please. They were craptastic the first half. Defensive linemen were standing there unimpeded jumping up and down in front of the quarterback like they were counting up to 4 Mississippi before rushing the QB, laughable. They do that on the road against a good team and it will be a big loss.

I believe Lovie Smith was fresh off the crack pipe when he got to the press room....I have never heard such a retarded comment from a very well spoken man such as him.

blah blah blah,

Do you guys even watch football. This was as classic a setup game as they get. Bears come out flat thinking win, Cardinals way amped on MNF in a new stadium. It happens every year. Think back to the Dolphins whipping the undefeated pats a couple years ago on MNF. Thing is, in the 2nd half, Bears DEFENSE and ST alone outscored AZ 24-3. There is simply no other team capable of doing that.

Also, Edgerrin James set a record last night. Most rushes for FEWEST yards in the history of the NFL. EVER! Anquan Boldin is the baddest thing since the switch blade, but after they Bears got their crap together, exacty what should have happened happened.

The Bears defense did nothing special to win the game, except for line up across from Arizona's offensive line. Holy crap, the o-line's play in the fourth quarter was some of the worst that I've ever seen. The Houston and Miami offensive lines would've been huge improvements over what Arizona had show up last night. At the very least, this game showed that Chicago can be beaten when a "decent" team shows up to play. Chicago should be worried about New Orleans and Carolina methinks.

If you or I lined up across from Ross, we could've had a free pass to the QB and a forced fumble. It doesn't take a top-notch defensive player to make a b-line to the QB. Next time you might want ot read my entire post, as it might make a little more sense that way.

That goes along nicely with being the only team to ever lose two games in a SEASON when leading by 14 in the first quarter, and they did back-to-back.:bonk:
weren't both of those losses the results of missed game-winning field goals at the end of each game?

Actually neither was.

It was to tie vs. San Fran I beleive and there was still a minute left on the clock vs. chicago.
It was a game tying 51 yard field goal in KC last week, and a game winning 41 yard field goal this week. Both missed by a kicker who was 40 for 42 last year. We actually beat SF.
