My current job is coming to an end and I just found a potentially great job that:
-is within the same company
-one that I meet ALL criteria they are looking for
-is something I really want to do.

The one thing that concerns me is that it's in Dallas, TX, (Grand Prairie) and the terrain around there looks pretty flat. Is there any type of DH scene there at all?

I lived in Texas for awhile. Here is my suggestion:

Don't move there. If you are used to mtns and public land, Texas is not for you.

Otherwise, sell the DH bike and get into BMX or DJing.

Austin has some good MTB locations. Look at the Austin Ridge Riders website.

No kidding. I go there every three months for work. Stay far away.
