I have no idea where I am
Just realized that I have been exhibiting withdrawal symptoms. Past few days I’ve had that antsy feeling. But not full on crawling out of my skin. Also been having difficulty sleeping. Haven’t hiked since early November with Honey Badger.

If it wasn’t supposed to be sunny tomorrow I’d probably head up to the local hill and hike in thunderstorms this afternoon. Gotta get the monkey off my back. Or at least replace it with my backpack.

Finishinging 1st Cup w/ massive headache going on. Massive work on the shoulder area during the end of the week paid off, accomplishing finally a three-range ingress and -egress movement with no hesitation or pain along the bicep.

Time to clean up and get organized before going back to work tomorrow. 9 days off and I feel like I could use another 9.

Have to sit down and draw up plans for some built-ins by our fireplace. The book collection is growing, our single book case is not. Time to figure out how to build cabinets.

Maybe you need a monkey shaped backpack

Morning Monkeys.

I got a gift from my oldest sister. She had the book my dad was writing published. I'm not sure how far he got with it, but she decided it needed to be published and she has her husband's money, so why not? It's a little over 200 pages and it's about American actors and American plays in Australia in the late 19th century. My father was a drama professor who spent the last decade of work teaching half the year in Sydney. It was a topic he was very interested in, I'm not sure it will have a lot of mass market appeal.

I am going to try and read it mainly because I know I will hear pops voice in my head as I do. He was an incredible speaker and could hold an audience. But this subject isn't hot on my list, so I might not get very far.

I’d just quit the day job and make cabinets.
I keep trying to convince the wife that it would be a good idea to build an addition o to our garage so I can have a true shop. Not sure I'm making much headway with that argument.

It would be nice to have a space where I could have a real setup instead of making due in a non-climate controlled shared space. Just don't have the room for many of the pieces of equipment I'd need to really get going. I have little interest in hand processing oodles of wood.

Hey, lmfao. Raining steadily here but I did drag my lazy ass to the TRACK before the rain started and got a 5 mile run done. I found a good threshold workout to do on the KICKR later while the rain beats down....not too hard but not too easy.

Wife made me go through the closets and get rid of some old clothes, and I did so with reckless abandon. I told her if she was going to make me go through that exercise, she wasn't allowed to question anything that I was getting rid of, and she agreed to those terms.

If I were to get back into the restaurant business again I’d open a buffet with a cattle scale at the entrance and one at the register. Totally for show and not accuracy. The food would be served in a trough. Tons of high fructose corn syrup laden fair for the morbidly obese. I’d call it Hog Sloppers.

Instead of a chocolate fountain, a MSG fountain
