So I bought a roadie a few months ago. About 100+ miles a week for 2-3 months.

Noticed last night that the rear bearings sounds like a clothes dryer. I'm on a real budget... but I think I'm just going to replace the set anyway... taxes and a full sewer rebuild just kicked my ass at the same time.

Here are the affordable options. Mind you, I know jack about road componentry. These are all 1800ish gram wheels. Which is funny to me because my 29" XC race wheels are just over 1500 grams:

FSA RD60
Shimano RS-20
Mavis Askium
Campy Khamsin
Fulcrum Racing 7
Pro-Lite Luciano

Most will say 105 or Ultegra to Open Pros.

Take a look at Easton EA50-70s also. I have the EA70s and they been solid and I believe they are lighter than 1800. Usually good deals to be had on ebay on those.
