Shouldnt the media be more concern on facts and not the "national enquire" method. Yeah, that order to interrorgate prisoners naked came right from the top. "YES! its true, my editor said so!" The press should be more concentrated on important stuff, and not stuff that will be used as a Bush weapon. Why havent there been more stories on the beheadings, and US citizens being killed. Aparently all congress can talk of is the prison scandal, there hasnt been one democratic congress man who has talked about the be headings yet. So far the news goes like this...

Well, I'd hardly call Mr. Moore a communist. I don't recall him ever espousing that particular economic philosophy, but even if he had, I wouldn't be ready to kill him.

We usually don't kill people in this country for speech, so that's out. I also find it hard to believe that he's a nihilist who believes in only killing US troops. That would contradict your communist assertion, by the way.

Haven't seen the movie yet, it's not out in theatres until Friday, I thought.

It's wrong when it happens here too. It's wrong when it happens in Iraq. More so since we told them we were coming to bring freedom and peace. Doubly so since we decided to do it in one of Saddam's more infamous prisons. Let's say it again-sexual assault is wrong. So the fact that it happens in prison here doesn't make it ok to do elsewhere.

To a certain extent I agree with you about the press. However, since Bush won't talk about anything unless it is behind closed doors and Cheney is there, and the Attorney General won't even talk to Congress, I'd say it's understandable.

Congress is talking about the prison scandal perhaps because some people expect more from a nation that lays claim to being the preeminent democracy on Earth than they do from a group of religious terrorists.

Well, it depends. There are lots of reasons why people are poor. There are social factors, economic factors, luck, and sometimes even a few of them are lazy. You're asking a very complicated question and expecting a simple and concise answer. Like I said, start up a Young Republicans club.

You think poor people don't pay taxes? What fairytale land are you living in? You don't pay federal income taxes if your income is low enough. I believe the Wall Street journal called those people "lucky duckies." I wasn't aware that poor people didn't pay payroll and sales taxes though. News to me.
