Took the wife out for some shuttle work tonight getting her ready for her first season of super d.

Coming down about 1/2 way through the trail, big rock garden or a go 'round.

    Decided to show off.

Jumped about 9/10 of the way across the garden, coming down nose heavy.

Blew through the side wall of the tire, bent the UST rim.

Got to walk 3 miles to the truck.

    The shame, the shame.

Ah, the old "9/10ths of the rockgarden" trick. I excel at that one.

I say huckit or fvckit. Most of the time it's fvckit. At least you got bonus points with your wifey for the long romantic walk back to the truck.

"as you see through my demonstration here....super d is a game of finding tires light enough to pedal yet strong enough to 9/10th a rock garden. i suppose, dear, that i could have found a less expensive and time efficient manner of showing you the practicality of this lesson but i like to be thorough so that you fully understand :D "

Some of the worst injuries, were due to people not fully committing and getting the proper speed.

That's the reason for 95% of the times I've crashed hard.
