The Kenda Dark Mtn Cane Creek Cup race will be held on July 8th & 9th this year. Located in Wilkesboro, NC (www.bmcc.us). Downhill is on the 8th with cross country on the 9th. We've basically got eveything finalized...just adding one sponsor to the flier then we'll have it posted. Both the dh & xc course have had major improvements from last year so if you enjoyed the courses last year then your going to love them now...much improved flow!:love:
Here's some info about the race:
> $8000 in cash & prizes
> Pro/semi-pro Men payout both days - $400, $200, $100 (five rider minimum for payout) & medals
> Top three in all other classes receive prizes & medals
> The Fastest Overall Expert Men (all classes combined) each day gets a $100 bonus
> Two methods of registering, 1) online at $35 which includes Active's fee or 2) $45 the day of the race
> Will be using timing chips again this year for both days
> XC practice opens on Saturday after the dh races concludes (all other areas except for what's the dh course will be open all day)
> Downhill practice will be on Friday without a shuttle
> Saturday we will run 3 pickups as shuttles...no wacked out trailer again!
Sorry about raising the online registration fee this year however we lost a major cash sponsor so we had to offset...with that said we're targeting to breaking even on this event so to give as much back to the riders as possible.
