I am working on front/rear mounted cams in my truck project. Not for insurance, mostly for pimp factor and video of spirited driving.

As Toshi said, I use aLapHD with my phone. If you have an OBD2 to usb cable, you can tie your engine data to the app and track all sorts of cool crap.

I have some swann lipstick cams, sometimes. I'll see if i can find them. What i think would be perfect is something that runs off of aux power and only films when the car is awn. removeable 16g mem.
