I, for one, am kind of let down by the Obama presidency.
1. Churches aren't paying taxes and Christians aren't being rounded up yet.
2. Still haven't received a spot on my local death panel.
3. No FEMA camps have opened.
4. No drone strike on the Palin Compound.
5. Neither myself nor my wife haven't been forced into a gay marriage.
6. I have yet to be surrounded by Mexicans.
7. People still have guns. Where the fvck are the confiscation teams?

All in all, very disappointed in Obama's failure to deliver on the promise of a Socialist Police State.

Yep, my dad is the same way. He absolutely hates anyone who thinks different than him or has a different opinion. It's seriously "send them all to jail" or "kill them all". He wants to nuke the entire middle east and can't reconcile how the rights in the constitution have reasonable limits as defined by the supreme court. If it suits him, he interprets them to be absolute with no limits and in other areas he says his party shouldn't be "attacked" by far left students exercising their right to free speech. He's adamant that the "christian god" is part of the government and all legislation should be in accordance with that religion's beliefs. He's so angry and it makes me sick.
He "had" to watch fox news last sunday and when I called a few of the incorrect things being put out with some quick internet searches (IRS tax brackets, state of Indiana and their status as a job creator relative to other states), he got very defensive. The problem is he sees anything on fox and assumes that is the truth, rather than fact-check or do some research. It makes me sad that he's so angry and can't see anything good, but that is people's choice, it's not a bunch of "retard liberals trying to destroy the country". When you've sunken down to that level, you've already lost any intelligent conversation.

We talk about the GOP having created a suicidal pact with the religious right because they have. There are quite a few of us who historically would qualify as Republicans, but the religious right has pushed most of that group left. And by pushed, I mean we didn’t change, the parties both kept going right, making us left leaning. Learn your history about the parties. The ‘leftish, liberal scum’, as many of us are referred to, are really just Republicans from the pre-Regan era.
I have historically been a solid Republican, but in recent years the party walked away from moderates like myself, forcing us to the party that more appropriately fits our moral and financial beliefs.

Their research was recreated, and it turn out that they threw out critical information, as it countered their arguments. The real result of their study is in-line with the current president’s plan.
