A democratic society is an equal one in ALL aspects. We all have only one vote as opposed to the past parliamentary systems where whelth/ownership gave you the right to vote, and more votes the whelthier you where.

But influence is not only achived through voting every 3-6 or so years. Influence over thought is a much greater one, especially since it can be done every day, several times or even several hours per day, and that is the influence media owners have on us all.

That is neither fair or equal.

Equality in our rights within the society; that we all have the right to apply for any and all positions there are, and not be judged by our differances; sex; race; gay/straight; social standing or place of upbringing.

Equality in that wealth can't buy; better schooling, giving some better basic conditions from the start of life; better lawyers and buy us out of bail or jail; better health care.

Equality in wages; if you put in same hours/week and give 100% and the pace you work in is the same, then your work is worth the same. No matter what gifts you were born with or not.

"We are all worth the same" should be manifested through actions and not just in written poetry.

Terrorist. One who commits crimes against civilians and/or civilian targets? Is that unconditional? What is a civlilian? Can he be the root of evil that causes a person to act against him, or can that evil only come in uniform? What material targets are civilian, and can they ever be legit targets?

Much tougher question than what democracy is.

Republocrat: Some douchebag politician. It doesn't really matter what party they are from, they are still corrupt and serve only to further their own power.

Terrorist - i always thought it was someone who uses guerrilla tactics for a political end, but it seems this can also be driven by religious zealotry to attain numerical supremacy & subjugation (manifest destiny)

Democracy - rule of law established by committee (yeah, mob rule)

Guerilla tactics, like the French resistance? Political end - covers pretty much anything to do with power/freedom. And why does religious zealotry fall under terrorism? Are you simply trying to define those who you seek to destroy?

Terrorist and terrorism is based upon point of view. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter/revolutionary.

As for democracy, that's simple and has been stated simply before. Of the people. By the people. For the people.

Nice soundbites but no real definition.
