Can my dell mp3 player be used as a portabole hard drive? I cant seem to figure it out, and can i tranfer song from the DELL mp3 player TO the PC? or is this thing a big waste of my time/money?

The Time/Money thing. You have to use the horrid Dell apps for transfer and they 'stop piracy' - stop you doing anything fun with it. However I think there are some homewritten apps that get around all that - if you google for 'Dell (Model number) hack' or something...

I just ordered one at 5am on thurs, got it at noon on friday. $48 shipped, 20gb model. They had a glitch or something, oh well. For $48 its totally worth it. The user interface isn't quite as nice as the rio karma, and "stock" you can't just plug it in and drag/drop. It doesn't show up as a removable media drive. The iRivers are a bit nicer, as are ipods, but both come at a price. A price no where near $48 I might add. haha

dell.com of course! Their system messed up or something. Its a nifty little device though.
