Hi I orderd one, but **** shipment changed from october to november..

I think you guys in the US may already have demo 8 on the track.

How is the performance? Has anbody experience with teh Demo 9 in comparison tio the Demp 8?? My last bikes were Demo 9 and a Big Hit Dh 03.. to which of those thend the Demo 8 more?

is the frame weigt of 4.95 kilos realistic?

Herndon is a Specialized test rider. He has a prototype demo 8 and a production one. It really is way lighter than the 9.

doesn't matter I ordered the Pro frame

Specialized Netherlands (European Headquarters) estimated arrival ist beginning of November so about 2 weeks later I should have it ( I hope so)

yes.. it is extremley lighter! (Shorter 4way shock with titanium Spring, 135 mm Rear insted of 150mm thru axle, lower tube coplete instead of Huge and Heavy fordging

It weights 4920 grams including Shock, the Demo 9 has 6000grams

I changed because i had a Demo 9 and a Big hit DH for hardcore freeride..(watch my gallery) and I don't have so much time in the future, so the demo 8 with a 66 and A Rohloff will do for Freeriding and DH for me..

Word on the street is December at the earliest. Talking to fox yesterday gave me a different impression, more like January looks like, at least for the 40.

if you work at a shop you can get one on pro deal as soon as they get to the shiping ware houses. Almost got one but went w/ the 04 big hit same travle and cheaper
it rides beutifuly ( d9 is too back heavy and i would emagine that the d8 is too.)

Got a Big hit DH 03 (anodized so about 200grams lighter than a painted on) weight with Swinger 6 way in Frame size S weighs 4850 gram, so it is exactly 70 grams lighter than a Demo 8
Performance of the Biggi is excellent, but my demo 9 was outstanding in performance.. and I like teh design of teh Demo 8 much more

Nice bikes man.. I also have a Big Hit DH (with shiver). How's it ride with the 66, compared to the shiver?
