I am applying to University of Denver this fall. I was just wondering how the road biking is around Denver/Cherry Creek. Also does anyone know about the DU team? Are they pretty active?

There website looks like they do ride a lot. Some colleges I am looking at say they have a cycling club, but it has maybe 3 people on the team. Are there any other colleges you can think of that have around 5,000-10,000 students and has a cool town around and near the mountains? Trying to look at like mid-sized schools.
Of course academics come first. I am trying to find some other schools no farther west than colorado that have solid academics, great biking and skiing.
Go to the University of Willamette and you can with me We have awesome mountain biking, road riding, and a great race scene (everything from DH to road). Plus you can ride year round year (albeit you'll get wet in the winter)
