I busted another derailleur hanger today and I need some help as to go about putting the new one I have on. Can someone give me a walkthrough on how to do this ?
Remove the rear derailer(you don't need to take the cable loose or the chain off.) Find the bolts holding the hanger on. Remove them and install the new hanger. Put the derailer back on. You might need to do a little fine tuning of the derailer.
Remember to put a little grease on the derailer bolt and grease or blue loctite or anti-seize on the hanger bolts.
Okay well they must have torquered the living piss out of this this thing because the allen head bolt that is holding the remaining piece of the hanger onto the derailleur itself is not being taken off with the tools that I have at hand.
I'm gonna have to hit up the LBS tomorrow, I definately don't want to break anything.
