I'm headed to Fayetteville for christmas -> new years and I was thinking maybe I'd bring a bike. I hiked Devil's Den once and saw a lot of riders. So the question is... Is it worth it to bring a bike down this time of year? Trails ok? Should I bring DH or heavy duty XC? My DH has to be pushed uphill. Anyone up for a ride during that week? If not, where's the good trails?

Oh yeah.. what's the nicest shop in the area?

Hey man,

I live in Fayetteville and Devils Den is alright this time of year. Not much trail work is done as we are mostly riding trail bikes and the hosres like to ride up the DH course  . I'd bring heavy duty XC and hit DD DH and Holt Road, maybe Fossil Flats to Racers Hill. If i was going to be around over C-mas we could hook up for a ride.

BTW Fayetteville Bicycle Company-418 N. College-is a badass shop (where i work0 as is Highroller Cyclery-by Waltons Arts Center (where biker3 works)

Have fun in town.

Yeah I work at highroller. Fayetteville bike co is a nice shop but if you want to come to Highroller AKA highdollar then your always welcome. We are the OFFICIAL S-works dealer in the area so if you want to see some REALLY pretty specialized bikes come on down. We got a gold ano stumpy frame its AMAZING. FBC has santacruz tho so thats pretty sweet. Stay away from Lewis and Clark they lick balls. But yeah Devils Den should be in decent shape prb pretty leavy but im sure the trail is fine. Id reccomend bringing your XC bike cuz theres lots of better trails but if your really commited to hiking bring your DH rig.

Awesome.. I've been in both those shops before... few years ago. I guess I'll bring my XC unless someone can commit to shuttling with me one of the days I'll be there. You guys should PM me your work schedules so I can swing by when you're there.

As for the gold stumpy.. that's so last month.. ;) The shop I work for is also a s-works dealer and my boss is working on his build-up now.
