So it seems like there's a possibility of me getting reassigned from Boston to RTP in north carolina. Can anybody provide me with a list of DH places that are open in the area? Preferably within a day's drive.

I looked through the forum, but there aren't a lot of addresses, just photos.

-- Pee Wees in Hickory,NC (lots of stunts etc)
-- 26 West Mars Hill area ( your best choice) about 30 min from asheville
--Of course shuttling areas in pisgah
--Windrock in knoxville ( bring extra bike/body parts)
**There used to be stunts in the Carrborro park near chapel hill. I believe they are gone, however the trails are good to go.

No No Dude. Snowshoe is at least 5 1/2 hrs from raleigh. While it's worth the drive, asheville is about 4 hrs from raleigh. Pee wee's is only 2.5hrs from RTP. Suffice to say you'll have to drive a little to use your big bike.

Boone NC is 3 hours from rtp and has plenty of trails in the area. youll want to shuttle though

Pee Wee's is in Lincolnton, NC. Not far from Hickory.

There's nowhere "in" Boone to ride, there are plenty of areas nearby but they take alot of pedaling or shuttling and you'll need someone to take you to most of them...we don't post up/talk about our spots on the internet to keep them from getting blown up more than some already are, but sometimes give tours if you send one of us a pm.
