took my 12 and 14 yo old for some DH riding at Winter park this weekend and they had a blast. Needless to say they want bikes now. What is a decent starter bike for them, probably in the $4k-ish range? We’ve looked around and there are so many brands. Kids were surprisingly fast for first-timers so I want something that they wont out-ride after a season - and we are almost ending the season now…

there's plenty of not-too-old medium dh bikes on pb for well below $4k; as they grow you can keep parts and swap frames if need be.
