i was behind an sti w/ aftermarket exhaust the other day - thats got to be one of the best engine sounds on the street today - i had to roll down the window to get a better listen... (i'm a bit aurally fixated).

come on don't de-derail this thread, we are talking about the sweetest sounding engines around. That being the wrx or sti of course. :thumb:

i only have one thing to add to this thread:

eh?

oh yea,and this :stosh:

what I would like to know is how all of the (READ) somewhat decent threads on this website never fail to slowly deteriorate into nothing less than incoherent babble about NOTHING to do with the intended conversation.

why do i come here again?

Let me know how rippin on ice, with spike tires, on a moto, is like DH training???
hmmm
lets see....
balance, general bike handling, quick decision making, adjusting center of gravity on a bike into and out of corners, knowing how to slide, increasing your confidence levels with speed and cornering etc etc etc

nice try stikman but it helps out big time, and this thread was obviously meant as a "fun look at what us crazy canadians do in the winter" thread,
not a I'm doing lactate threshhold jump-ups and intervals to beat you at the next Norba training thread

ps- nothing will beat Seamus's McGrath's WRX with the Turbo blow-off and exhaust kit, that thing sounded so sweet, like a fighter jet when the turbo kicked in high boost

get it right, subie boxer engines
right, what he said.
I still think those subie boxer engines are the best sounding things around. The deep low lopping from the engine. Ohhh, it's almost V8ish, but even sweeter.
