Ok, so i just got a dhx 5.0 rear shock for my iron horse 7 point 3 from 2006. and i need the right hardware to make it fit. does anyone know where to get this? I used to have a manitou, and this fox shock is a different eyelet size or something.

Manitou used a smaller eyelet than just about everyone else. Fox, 5th, RS vivid, romic, marz...all use 1/2 dia eyelets, and hardware for any of those shocks will fit.

Fox will sell their stuff direct, just ask for the 1 piece steel reducer kit NOT aluminum. The marz stuff is available from any bike shop. You will need to know the mount width and the bold diameter.

It's a pain in the azz that Manitiou has to be the odd ball with a smaller eyelit size. That's the only reason i'm selling my fresh rebuilt Swinger-4way; i had bought not realizing it was a "smaller sized eyelit"!
My Bullit uses the 1/2" eyelit(Fox,Romic,Marzocci,Vivid) & i don't want to have two different sets of hardware for my backup shock!
    Sorry Manitiou !

Manitou, DNM, X-fusion, previous RS shocks, there are more of them. Still it sucks to have 2 standards.

Yes, the 8mm marzocchi shock hardware works on the dhx's. I run the marzocchi reducers as they are a stout one-piece vs. fox's two-piece setup.
