What can you all tell me about a Diamondback Response Sport

It has two wheels and you can ride to places on it.

It's a solid first-time mountain bike if your budget is ~$500. They have a well-built frame, and the brakes work pretty well once they're broken-in. They went to a Shimano drivetrain for 2011, which is much nicer than the SRAM stuff they've been spec'ed with in the past.

+1. it's a good frame to start with. something you can change out a couple of parts and have a good hardtail. i work PT at Dicks Sporting Goods and we sell a good amount of those in my store.

It's a 100% entry level mountain bike. Simple as that.

It's not something that I'd spend any money upgrading though. Don't expect to be able to transform it into a race bike if you get more into the sport.
