Speaking of rock legends, Dick Dale, King of the Surf guitar, has cancer. I checked his web site to see about upcoming shows, to find nothing scheduled. I emailed them, and got a response back FROM HIM (How cool is that?) that he is sick, and tours are on hold for now. His 16 or 17 y/o kid has been touring with him, and he wails too. Not like that snotty Van Halen kid, who is just along for the ride...:busted:

Anyway, best wishes to DD for a quick recovery and return to the stage!

Man what a bummer. I've seen him several times here in Santa Barbara and every time it was a hell of a show.

Well wishes to the King of the Surf Guitar

Saw him in Seattle a couple of weeks after I moved there. It was an awesome show.

Here. I'm just not sure where "here" is.
Dick Dale. Most "discovered" him after one of his songs got into Pulp Fiction.

I've never seen him live, but he does rip it up on his records.
