My crank brothers candy pedals felt like they needed some love so I decided to take them apart tonight and see what I could find out. Here's what I did:
remove screw cap on end of pedal
remove nut on end of pedal spindle
remove spindle
clean, lube and re-install
This was awfully simple, and they do feel better now but did I miss a step? The clip part themselves don't rotate as smooth as they should, I tried to get some T9 into the area where they rotate and it helped a litle but it seems like there's probably a way to take the pedal fully apart. yes/no?
