I got a Standard fork...not sure wheich one but I guess its the heaviest one...it doesn't have brake bosses...I tried to fit an adapter on and theres very little clearance between the tire (2.2 Primo Dirt Monster) and fork causing the brake cable to get kinked up so much that there's a grip of friction in the line, preventing me from setting up the brake properly. I was thinking about getting a fork with bosses already welded on...would I run into the same problem? Or would a fork with 990 bosses have extra clearance?

Wow. I don't know many people running dirt tires and front brakes.

I'd go down one size on the front tire before I would switch out my fork. You could try a whole bunch of tires before you got to the cost of a new fork.

To answer your actual question, though: No, I don't think a fork with brake bosses will help your situation.
