I need to research watermarks in images. not the little graphics/names that are smaller and placed somewhere in the image but the 'real' digital watermarks that protect the image.

any suggestions on where to look for this stuff?

yea, I just know that digimarc has something in photoshop, if you buy their service/product you can use it. and that is where my knowledge ends....
