In a van.... down by the river
Had a great bit of chow tonight.

Grilled tri-tip steaks w/Gorgonzola/parmesan cream sauce
Roasted garlic mashers
Sautéed chanterelles (Costco has fresh for $9/lb)
Mixed greens salad
Fresh strawberry/kiwi fruit salad

Washed it down with an Argentinian grape I'd not heard of before...

Sweet. Not really down with the blue cheese but otherwise sounds great.

I made short ribs with moroccan spices braised in syrah and beef stock yesterday. Slow and low: 225 - 250 degrees for about 6 hrs. Ridiculously tender, could have eaten with a spoon. Served over couscous with a garnish of crispy fried shallots and a little green salad on the side. Drank an italian blend of cabernet and nero d'avola.
