So, I guess the cap/nut/thingee at the bottom (near the wheel axle) of my fork came loose and fell of, cuz it aint there anymore. (And I thought that was my sweat that had dripped all over the front rim...) I'm guessing I've lost just about all the oil from the right leg.

Can I fix this myself? Is a replacement nut easy to find? Can I add new oil myself? Is it hard to get the proper oil level?

Should I just take it in to the shop?

that's why we drink it here
Any nut with the right thread should work. That nut just fastens your damper to the bottom of the lowers. It might be wise to throw a lock washer on there too. Any decent hardware store should have both of these. You can look up the owners manual on the marzocchi website to find out how much shock oil is supposed to be in there. Your shop should be able to help if you dont feel comfortable doing this.

thanks for the reply.
They don't seem to have any 2004 tech manuals online.
I emailed them a request for it. Their site is kinda annoying, when you're actually looking for something specific.

Anybody happen to have a PDF of that manual lying around...??
