hi all,
i am confused by the 6" 8", 160mm, 180mm, 203mm talk about disc brake rotors...i have HFX 9's with 6" rotors and i want to upgrade to 8" rotors...any help would be appreciated.

To upgrade your brakes to 8" rotors, all you need are 6" to 8" caliper adapters and some 8" Hayes rotors.

Then you need to find the specific one for your fork, since many forks have different mounting styles.

okay thanks..i ordered the adapters...but i am still confused about the sizes..i ordered 180mm rotors....i hope that's right..thanks bud

6" = 152mm
7" = 178mm
8" = 203mm



1" = 25.4mm = 2.54 cm

Be sure that you get front or rear specific Hayes adaptors. Some companies sell them just on size, where as in reality you need to specify size and end (of the bike).
