Hey Roasted, when and where did you see it? I saw it at the 9pm showing at garfinkels the weekend it opened. I was there w/ Shootr and his cuz and Eric. You couldn't have missed Shootr, he was yelling the whole timeRoasted said:Come on people. I hope someone else sees it soon, I wanna know how others thought of the movie to see if maybe I was having an off night. haha
I went to the early show that same night. Had a nasty flu and didn't want to drink...Megan Black said:Hey Roasted, when and where did you see it? What do you mean, 'having an off night?'
ooooooooooooooooooh! :nuts:shootr said:Oh.. and Megan.. just because you were next to me.. doesn't mean that you were "with me"
Was my favorite ripper in it? Romaniac? His sections are always top notch! IMO, he's the best rider out there right now.Roasted said:Ya...thats kind of how it left me too. Some riders impressed me, but overall...lackluster...
Thats was the most memorable part of the movie. I reread my review cause I didn't remember romaniak being in it. HE wasn't mentioned, which either meant his section stunk (or was weak for the quality rider he was) or he wasn't in it. The first 1/3 of this movie rocked, which ironically was all racing or speed scenes. Which btw I normally find boring, but this time they captured it well...really well. I still remember cedric ripping through the trees and berms...that scene alone was worth the movie for me,Cedrics part (the opening) was awesome. Fast flowy, smooth. I don't know, but watching side by side clips of cedric, he sure looks faster and smoother then peat. And as usual a funny guy through and through. He was built for being in front of a camera. Peat was fast and flowy to with incredible bike control. He also had a couple of funny lines in it that made everyone chuckle. "Something wasn't right up here" haha...anyways, good stuff. Either way, they must have watched the collective because they captured speed really well and this time they looked incredibly fast. This was the highlight for me as throughout the whole movie everyone looked fast and smooth.
oh yeah? well, just cause YOU don't REMEMBER it, doesn't mean "it never happened"shootr said:Oh.. and Megan.. just because you were next to me.. doesn't mean that you were "with me"

Negative on that Zane. Handplants are nowadays fairly commonplace in BMX.zane said:Aaron Chase's part was pretty good too, he did a few things that bmx guys don't even do... which is a lot for a mtn bike rider to pull off.
Yes I did...hahashootr said:Highest indoor Jump Timo Pritzel, 16.79' (on his BMX.. you did know he is a BMXer right?)
I guess I mean for the long haul. I figured, eventually, mountain bikers would push the 'go big' limit to really fit in between bmx and mx for size. Thanx for the statesin simple terms I would say theoretically yes.. but factually NO.
I know handplants are pretty common, I used to do em (kinda) on my bmx. The main thing I'm thinking of the tree-ride to 360 out, that was pretty rad and I have yet to see a bmxer pull that.shootr said:Negative on that Zane. Handplants are nowadays fairly commonplace in BMX.
Chase's segment was excellent no doubt, but one day people are going to have to face the simple fact that where tricks are concerned (as well as size of jumps, size of drops, and a whole host of other bike related action) MTBers will ALWAYS play second fiddle to BMXers.
