I have 2 '03 DJ forks. One is aDJ II and the other a DJIII. The DJIII has been lowered to 3" of travel (before I bought it), and the DJ II is stock. I want to change the lower legs, so I can run the 20mm axle on the DJ III. This way I can easily switch wheelsets back and forth between two of my bikes. Does anybody have any experience switching lowers on these forks? Does it take a special tool to remove the bolt on the lower leg, my sockets wouldn't fit, and the bolt is rececced to far to get at it with a wrench.
