The nut on the end of the axle always used to be regularly threaded on both sides (I know because I have a set here with me now). But the new pair that just arrived in the post from CRC have a reverse thread on the right-hand (driveside) pedal. I thought it was b'stard tight and discovered the truth once I tore all the threads off trying to undo it
